Is your store certified halal?

No. While we do offer halal options on our menu (as well as a separate pizza cutter), pork is served on the premises. Please order at your own discretion.

Our halal items include:

  • Chicken Shawarma

  • Grilled Chicken Topping

  • Ground Beef Topping

  • Halal Pepperoni

  • Chicken Wings

Additionally, we only use vegetarian gravy for our poutines and our mozzarella cheese does not contain rennet.

What is “shawarma”?

Shawarma (also known as “guss”) is a type of spiced meat found in Middle Eastern cuisine that is grilled or cooked slowly on a vertical broiler. Serving style differs between countries (and restaurants). Depending on the region, shawarma can be served on a plate with vegetables or wrapped in a pita with garnishes such as tahini, pickled turnip, hummus and garlic sauce.

At Venice Beach Pizza, we serve our shawarma in “dinner” form with rice and vegetables, as well as in pitas with garlic sauce as its preferred pairing. Our vegetable selection is based on the Canadian palate.

What is “falafel”?

Falafel is a vegetarian Middle Eastern food made up of ground chick peas (or in some cases, fava beans, or both) and mixed with seasonings. They are formed in either a patty or ball shape and deep fried. Like shawarma, falafel differs in serving style and toppings across regions.

At Venice Beach Pizza, we serve our falafel in pitas and in individual pieces. Try it with amba sauce!

Do you offer whole wheat/gluten-free crust?

Not at the moment, due to lack of demand and risk of cross-contamination with gluten.

Our dough is made daily with 6 ingredients: all-purpose flour, water, sugar, salt, canola oil and yeast. 

Do you have any specials?

At this time we do not offer daily specials or promotions. All of our combos and specials can be found on our flyer/menu.

Why can’t I order [side menu item] for pick-up over the phone?

There are a number of reasons why we no longer accept side orders to be placed over the phone for pick-up.

  1. No-shows: A large number of these orders never get picked up. The food ends up being tossed.

  2. Late pick-ups: Side order items such as fries take little time to make and get cold and soggy fast – foam containers and fries are not friends. Some customers in the past have been told “5 minutes” for their orders but arrived 20 to 40 minutes later! Please help us help you maintain the freshness and quality of your order.

  3. Tying up the phone line: Less calls for single side orders frees up the phone for pizza orders. Less time the phone spends ringing, the more time we have to fill orders efficiently and accurately.

Do the wraps come with a drink?

No. Drinks are sold separately unless otherwise stated on the menu. 

Do you deliver?

Yes, to the West Hamilton Mountain and Meadowlands Ancaster. Our delivery zone does not go beyond Upper James and Rymal Road. For a complete list of streets that we deliver to, please click here.

What is UberEATS?

UberEATS is a food ordering and delivery app. The delivery service is completely independent from our own in-house delivery. You can choose from a number of restaurants, order and pay online, and track your driver via GPS. 

There is a problem/mistake with my order. What do I do?

If you placed the order through UberEats, any issues you have can be resolved by contacting UberEats’ support.

If you ordered directly through us, give us a call or come back and let us know - on the same day. We will be happy to assist you and make things right. You just need to show us where we went wrong. For example, if your pizza had the wrong toppings, we'll make you a new one and take back the mistake.

We cannot re-do orders for items already eaten. We appreciate your understanding.
